Welcome to My Unfinished Basement!

 

I don't know what's in your unfinished basement, but I know what's in mine!  Plenty of empty wall space and raw materials ready to be repurposed into works of art!  Such is the spirit of Artomatic and its beloved artists. We are master alchemists, weilding the power of transformation... taking scraps of nothingness and creating beauty for others to experience and enjoy.

 

Like most entrepreneurs who wear many hats, having to juggle business, personal and family life often leaves little room for other passionate pursuits.  For me, that manifests as several incomplete works of art and creative writing pieces that wind up in the basement and on my "unfinished" to-do list. 

 

This year, I've committed to completing more art, and designed my space at Artomatic to serve as both a vibrant studio for creation and an oasis for chillaxation.  A place to gather with fellow artists, friends and visitors, and to reflect upon what happens to us internally when we take action towards our goals. 

 

Recently, I've become more interested in the process of transformation vs. the final production outcome of my art.  There is something magical about having an ability to transmute the contents of one's imagination into reality.  It is the artist's gift and superpower.  For the duration of the festival, I will be painting live and sharing the insights gained as each piece is completed.   Come through and find me in room 7052.
